Beer Coasters How Do You Like Them Apples? Issue

It looks like ciders are making a comeback.  Pre Prohibition, hard cider was just as popular as beer.  Post Prohibition, German-style Lagers was "king".  This week on The Beer Coasters Podcast we take a break from craft beer and get to the core of the American hard cider, a tradition that is slowly making it's mark on the craft beverage scene.  We are also joined by Brittany and Gina - chicks and cider?  That's proposterous!

For our Fermentation Conversation, all four of us will help spread the seed of the Julian Hard Cider.  Toby sits down with Gina and bakes up something sweet with Spire Mountain's Dark & Dry Cider.  Brittany is also making a comeback and she brings along the Ginger & Black Currant Pear Cider from Fox Barrel.  Mike swings an axe at the trunk of Crispin's Lansdowne.  For our Hop Topic, we discuss a recent interview with IndyBeer and the creators of the new beer specifically designed for women, Chick Beer.

Thanks for joining us this week and don't worry, we'll be back to the whole beer thing next week.  Cheers!
